Environment Matters: Embridge’s new digital era

Key takeaways

Embridge, formerly known as M-tech, rebranded to emphasize its mission of connecting businesses with their communities under the banner "Environment Matters." To support this transformation, we developed a new, user-friendly website in just 12 weeks. The site highlights Embridge’s wide range of services and makes complex information accessible while also serving as a key tool for attracting new talent.

Challenge

Embridge, formerly known as M‑tech, is a full-service partner for entrepreneurs facing environmental and community challenges. With a 25-year legacy, the company decided to undergo a complete rebranding to better reflect its mission and values. The new name, Embridge,” was chosen to symbolize the company’s role in bridging the gap between businesses and the communities in which they operate.

Embridge operates in three regions — Flanders, Wallonia, and the Netherlands — each with distinct market characteristics, legislation and needs. Bits of Love’s primary challenge was to design and develop a website that clearly and effectively communicated Embridge’s wide-ranging and complex services to customers, tailored to each region’s unique requirements. Additionally, the website needed to focus on customer needs while attracting new employees.

Solution

In just 12 weeks, Bits of Love collaborated closely with Embridge’s marketing team and Colorclub, the agency handling the rebranding, to create a website that aligned with Embridge’s new visual identity and met the needs of its diverse audience.

The project started with the development of wireflows and wireframes to quickly define the website’s structure and information architecture. This approach aimed to create a seamless user experience (UX) that would cater to both clients looking for Embridge’s services and potential employees interested in joining the company. A key aspect of the redesign was ensuring that the website reflected Embridge’s modern, forward-thinking brand while making complex information easy to understand and engaging for users.

The website was built on a Craft CMS platform, providing Embridge with full control over content updates, which is crucial given the fast-changing nature of their services and regulatory impacts in their operating regions. By running front-end and back-end development simultaneously, Bits of Love ensured Embridge had early access to the CMS, allowing for timely content input and adjustments. This iterative process — where content and design influenced each other — allowed for real-time modifications, ensuring the website’s design was fully aligned with the content.

To emphasize Embridge’s commitment to sustainability, the website includes an interactive quiz about sustainability, offering an engaging and easy way for users to learn more about the company’s services.

Result

By focusing on clear objectives and maintaining effective communication, Embridge’s new website was launched successfully within the 12-week deadline. The collaborative efforts and strategic planning provided Embridge with the necessary tools to achieve its goals — boosting sales and attracting new hires.

The new website showcases Embridge’s dedication to sustainability and clearly communicates its complex range of services. The flexible content management system allows Embridge to keep the website up-to-date with the latest information, ensuring it can effectively engage with clients and attract prospective employees.

Conclusion

The collaboration between Embridge, Bits of Love, and Colorclub demonstrates how shared values and close cooperation can lead to outstanding results. Embridge is now well-positioned to grow its business and promote sustainable practices, with a website that accurately represents its identity and future direction. The engaging design and innovative features not only align with the new branding but also improve user engagement, making complex information both appealing and accessible.
