As Belgium’s coalition talks continue after a busy election year, 2024 has also been eventful beyond our borders. Tree Company and Bits of Love are thrilled to announce VoteSmart, a bespoke voting aid created in partnership with the Irish Independent.

Ireland’s unique ranked-choice voting system and its constituency-based approach make navigating elections a challenge for many voters. Each constituency features its own lineup of parties and a significant number of independents, adding layers of complexity. That’s where VoteSmart comes in.

Building on the success of “De Stemtest”, we’ve designed VoteSmart to address these complexities and empower Irish voters. Tailored to Ireland’s political landscape, the tool helps users explore candidates’ opinions within their constituency, enabling them to confidently rank their choices.
